It would've been nice if it didn't look like the dead animal. I mean it's one thing to have ham and bacon and another to have the whole pig to remind you where the ham and the bacon came from.
That being said, there are parts of the pig I would not eat unless I was very hungry.

A Mother's prayer for her soldier son

As Thou didst walk in Galilee, so loving Saviour, walk with him for me: For since the years have passed and he has grown, I cannot follow, he must walk alone. Be Thou my feet that I have had to stay, for Thou canst comrade him on every way. Be Thou my voice, when sinful things allure, pleading with him to choose those that endure.
